1-Day Advocate

In One Day You Can...

• Participate in a CLS Capitol Hill Day
• Write an op-ed for your local newspaper
• Speak at local clubs, churches, and schools about the value of federally-funded science
• Invite your member of Congress and/or their staff, local officials, and members of the media to visit your lab

If you can take the time for a full day of advocacy, CLS has the resources to help you:

• Communicate with your local and national representatives
• Write an op-ed or letter to the editor of your local paper about the importance of federal funding for science research
• Meet with your members of Congress personally to advocate for more science funding
